After you connect your TTLock account, tell TIOO which lock opens which door. Door codes are then made for guests by themselves.
Owner or admin only. Smart locks are on the Starter plan and up.
How many locks your plan includes
| Plan | Locks |
|---|---|
| Free | none |
| Starter | 1 |
| Growth | 3 |
| Pro | 10 |
| Enterprise | as many as you need |
A separate front-door lock counts as one lock. You can buy extra locks on Smart lock settings (Add locks). The top of the Assign locks page shows how many you have used.
Give a room its lock
- Open Smart Locks, then Settings, then Assign locks — or go to Assign locks.
- Find the lock. The list shows every lock in your TTLock account, with its battery and whether it has a gateway.
- In Assign to…, pick the room.
- Click Assign.
The room's way in changes to smart lock, and you're taken back to Smart lock settings, where the room now shows under Doors with a lock.
Note: A lock you just added in the TTLock app not showing? Click Reload from TTLock.
Set the front door
If your building has a shared entrance with its own lock, set it as the front door. Guests then get one code that opens both the front door and their room.
- Hotels, B&Bs and guest houses: in Assign to…, pick Front door (building entrance) and click Assign. If you have several properties, it is set for the property you have picked in the top bar.
- A lock that is already on a room can become the front door: on Smart lock settings, click Use as front door next to it.
- Holiday lets (one unit): the unit's lock is set as the front door by itself when you assign it.
To stop, click Remove next to the front door, or Stop using as front door.
Take a lock off a room
On Smart lock settings, click Remove next to the room and confirm. Guests' codes for that room are taken off the lock.
To move a lock to a different room, remove it from the first room, then assign it again. To swap the lock on a room, assign the new lock to it: the room's option says "replaces its lock".
What happens to guests' codes when you change a lock
When you assign, swap or remove a lock, or change the front door, TIOO moves the codes of current and upcoming guests to match. They keep the same digits, so guests don't need new codes. You see a message saying the codes are being moved.
If the new lock won't take those digits (for example another code on it already uses them), that guest gets a new code instead.
No gateway?
A lock marked No gateway can't get door codes from TIOO or be opened remotely. Put a TTLock Wi-Fi gateway (G2 or G3) within Bluetooth range and add it in the TTLock app.
