Connecting a booking site's calendar brings its bookings into TIOO. That is only half the job. The booking site also needs to know about the nights you sell in other ways, or it could sell the same night twice.

Every TIOO room has its own export link (an iCal link) for this. The booking site reads it and closes those dates.

  • Bookings from your own website.
  • Bookings you add by hand (walk-ins, phone bookings).
  • Dates you block on the calendar (for example for repairs or an owner's stay). They show as "Blocked", without the reason.
  • Nights you closed with a stop-sell restriction. They show as "Restricted".

Guests' names are never sent. Each booking shows only as "Reserved". A booking request from your website that is still waiting for your approval is sent once you approve it.

  1. Open Calendar Sync in the menu.
  2. Find the room's card. At the bottom is its Export link.
  3. Click Copy.

Click How to use next to it for a reminder of where to paste it.

Paste it into the booking site

  • Booking.com: Rates & Availability → Sync calendars → Add calendar connection.
  • Airbnb: Calendar → Availability Settings → Connect Calendars → Import Calendar.
  • Other sites: look for "Import Calendar" or "Add external calendar" in their calendar settings.

Each booking site reads the link on its own timetable, which TIOO does not control. It can take a while before a new TIOO booking closes the date there.

Bookings from one booking site are not sent to the others

A booking that came from Booking.com is not put back out on your export link to Airbnb, and the other way round. When sites copied each other's calendars back and forth like that, it left "closed" dates that would not go away.

So if a room is on two booking sites:

  1. Link each site's calendar into TIOO (see Connect your Booking.com calendar and Connect your Airbnb calendar).
  2. Give each site the room's TIOO export link.
  3. Also connect the two booking sites' calendars to each other, in their own settings. That is what stops Airbnb selling a night that was just booked on Booking.com.

First check that you pasted the whole link. If it still doesn't work, open How to use, then URL not working?, then Regenerate URL.

Careful: Regenerate URL makes a new link and the old one stops working for good. Paste the new link into every booking site that used the old one.

Good to know

  • Each room has its own link. A holiday let has one link for the whole property.
  • The export link works on every plan and does not count towards your number of connected calendars.
  • Anyone with the link can see which nights are taken (but no names). Share it only with booking sites.
