Deposits work on every plan. First connect Stripe, PayPal or Paystack in Guest payments — the money always goes straight to your own account.

Deposit for website bookings

Open Deposits and pick what guests pay when they book on your website: a part of the price (for example 25 %), a fixed amount, or the full price.

  • Instant book on: the guest goes straight to the payment page after booking.
  • Requests: the guest gets a Pay now button in the "booking confirmed" email once you approve.
  • If the guest doesn't pay, you can keep the booking and follow up, or have it cancelled after a few hours.

Bookings from Booking.com and Airbnb are never affected.

Security deposit at online check-in

Type an amount under Security deposit at online check-in. Guests then see a Security deposit step when they check in online.

  • With Stripe the guest only saves their card. The amount is held (not taken) the day before arrival and let go by itself a few days after check-out.
  • With PayPal or Paystack the guest pays the amount, and it is refunded by itself a few days after check-out.

Tick Guests must add it if nobody may finish check-in without it. Otherwise guests can choose to sort it out on arrival.

Careful: Airbnb doesn't allow hosts to take deposits outside Airbnb, so Airbnb guests are skipped (you can change this). Booking.com only allows a damage deposit when your property's policies on Booking.com say so — add it there first.

Keep some for damage

Open the booking. The Deposits & payment links card shows the security deposit. Press Keep some for damage, type the amount and why, and the rest goes back to the guest. Give it back now lets it all go at once.

On any booking press Send payment link, choose what it's for (deposit, balance, extra charge or security deposit), type the amount and send it by email and/or WhatsApp or text. You can also Copy link and send it yourself. When the guest pays, the link shows Paid and you get a bell.
